man James Huddleston‏‎
Born ‎±. 1736 Virginia, died ‎1815 Millersburg, Bourbon, Ky‎, approximately 79 years
"James Huddleston, of Virginia, b. 1736 in Virginia, d. 1815 Bourbon County, KY. James is mentioned in narrative record several times that would indicate that he lived in Tuscarora Valley of Pennsylvania. For a considerable time, then moved his family to Bourbon County KY sometime in mid to later life. He married in 1757 to Jane Montgomery, b. 1738, d. 1820; the place and ate of marriage not given. They were buried near Millersburg, Bourbon County, KY. We think it likely that the children were all born in the Tuscarora Valley area, and that James served in the Revolutionary Army. Narrative record again indicates that the family had neighbors and other contacts with families that used the spelling of 'Hudelson' for the last name; and that James adopted that spelling in later life. The record mentioned is 'The Donnell Family,' that shows intermarriage and considerable 'Hudelson' history. On this supposition we are changing the spelling of the name for the children." Her claim was not allowed, as she failed to furnish proof of his service.
